  1. You’ve just reminded me to re-insert a Quotes page on my blog(s). I had a great one on my very first blog and it got deleted when I deleted the whole blog due to lack of image room.

Here’s a few from my Favourite Quotes folder….

“Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore”
    – Andre Gide

“When you live in the moment, you are always on time”
    ― Dave Rauschkola

“If you learn to enjoy waiting, you don’t have to wait to enjoy”
    – Kabuki Tanahashi

Note: train stations, airports and bus stations are just as interesting as your journey or final destination.

“Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing”
    – Camille Pissarro

Note: Learn how to see, not just open your eyes. Look up, down, all around. Notice the small details in foreign lands (or your own home location). See the humour or quirky side of life. Observe the colours, light, shapes and sounds. You’re not on holiday to sit in a hotel room. Or maybe, the hotel room has quirky features you’ve never seen before and will probably never see again.

    Quick Story…..
When I was living in London in the mid to late 1970s one of my flatmates was travelling in Russia and sitting in a rather ordinary stained and worn toilet cubicle. Next thing, the door was flung open and a rather robust lady with a zillion character features, yanked her off the toilet seat, flung a teapot of used tea leaves down the toilet bowl, replaced my flatmate on the seat and raced out of the public toilets.

So, apart from inspiring quotes, don’t forget to blog about the ordinary or extraordinary everyday moments that fill you with laughter and joy.
